ENIDE launched GAMMS

ENIDE participated in the GAMMS kick-off meeting and virtual launch event on 7th July 2021.

What is GAMMS?

GAMMS is a R&D project funded by the European Commission under the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme. Its name stands for “Galileo/GNSS-Based Autonomous Mobile Mapping System”. It gathers eight partners from five European countries that will cooperate until the end of December 2023.

GAMMS belongs to the EUSPA projects enabling the exploitation of space data provided by Galileo for surveying and mapping.

GAMMS’ objective is to develop an autonomous terrestrial mobile mapping system (AMMS), based on the tight integration of autonomous vehicles (AV), navigation/geodetic, and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. More specifically, we are developing:

  • mapping robot for geodata acquisition
  • an AI-based highly automated mapping software to produce HD maps from the MMS remote sensing data.

What is ENIDE role in GAMMS?

In GAMMS, ENIDE will lead communication and dissemination strategy and tools allowing the
project to effectively engage stakeholders, demonstrating the results of the project, as well as exploitation and innovation activities in order to facilitate the adoption of the project’s results.
