What is ENIDE´s role at the TRA?

1) ENIDE will take part in a panel discussion, as part of the Special Interest Session moderated by HARMONY´s Project Officer Thiago Tavares: A snapshot of the traffic management of the future.

Agenda – Monday 14 November 2022 at 17h:

  • On behalf of the Harmony H2020 team, Vicent Pastor, from ENIDE will join the discussion giving inputs on ´Traffic modelling for demand-responsive transport and other new forms of mobility.

About? The European Commission, together with the 4FRONT cluster of European-funded projects (ORCHESTRA, TANGENT, DIT4TRAM, FRONTIER) and the HARMONY project, will examine the future of network and traffic management, and the ways it will shape cities. The session will explore how to tackle new technological, societal, operational, business and governance challenges and opportunities. The projects will jointly present further topics including System engineering architecture, Resilience, Trustworthiness, Data sharing Governance, User behaviour and acceptance, multimodality, upscaling etc. to implement the network and traffic management of the future.

2)  ENIDE will take part in a panel discussion, as part of the Special Interest Session: AutoMATE Concertation for Smart, Green, Automated and Integrated Transport.

Agenda – Tuesday 15 November 2022 from 17h to 18.30h: 

  • Topic 1 – ´Technological challenges on Automated Vehicles, Infrastructure Setup and Datavehicle & infrastructure levels, fleets management & simulations´: on behalf of the Harmony H2020 team, Vicent Pastor, from ENIDE will join the discussion giving inputs on ´Learnings from pilots on the technological challenges of AVs and drones´.
  • Topic 2 –  ´Societal & business challenges – Understanding people’s and stakeholders’ needs´: on behalf of the Harmony H2020 team, Vicent Pastor, from ENIDE will join the discussion giving inputs on ´Stakeholder´s needs related to modelling and simulation tools for city planning as well as stakeholders´ perception of adoption of AVs and drones for goods delivery // Sustainable Urban Mobility Planning (SUMP) Guidelines and policy recommendations for the use of new mobility solutions. Data collected from the public. Interviews from different users. Gamification of the survey´

What is AutoMate? Supported by the European Commission’s Horizon Results Booster programme, the H2020-projects SHOW, AVENUE, HARMONY, SPROUT, FRONTIER, and PASCAL join forces in a Project Group called AutoMATE based on commonalities between their work in the field of Automated and Integrated Transport. In this session, the audience will learn about AutoMATE and how concertation between the projects helps tackle collective challenges at technological, business, societal and policy levels. With its disruptive format, the session will transversally address these challenges with the possibility for the audience to interact with the experts. 

3) ENIDE will take part in European Commission stand along with other 32 EU-funded R&I projects sharing experience and results!

Where? The Agora area of the EC stand (PAV 2 booth 2.14)

Agenda – Thursday 17 November 2022 at 11.45h:

  • Daily TRA Topic: ´Policies and Economics for a Competitive Europe´: on behalf of the Harmony H2020 team, Vicent Pastor, from ENIDE will give a 10 min presentation on The best practices for SUMPs: The SUMPs Topic Guide (TG).  

4) Furthermore you will have the opportunity to see the presentation of the posters by Significance and UCL project partners:

  • Agenda – 14 November 2022 at 17:00 – 18:30h Konstantinos Kamargiannis from UCL will present a poster about Moby App under sub-theme 1.1.1 ´User-focus and inclusive mobility´ –> Where? Auditorium II
  • Agenda – 15 November 2022 at 12h-19h Larissa Eggers from Significance will present two posters:´An empirical demand model for e-commerce and shopping trips´ and ´Forecasting parcel deliveries in an urban freight simulator for the province of Zuid-Holland—> Where? Poster area – Efficient and innovative logistics 1.4

  • at Auditorium II, Scientific and technical sessions on Nov 15: 8:30h – 10:00h a paper presentation by Josué Manuel Rivera Velazquez from Cerema: ´Towards functional requirements for automated ground transport vehicles operating under harsh weather conditions´ co-written by Martin Reinthaler from AIT Austrian Institute of Technology GmbH and Ragnhild Wahl from ITS Norway.

  • 14 – 17 November Wolfgang Schildorfer from the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria will be happy to greet you at the FHO booth 2.07 where ESRIUM will be present along with  other EU projects
